How to Connect PeaSoup S3 to TerraMaster Cloud Backup
Follow these steps to configure your TerraMaster NAS to back up data to PeaSoup S3 using the Cloud Backup feature. Since PeaSoup provides an S3-compatible API, you can configure it as a backup destination similar to Amazon S3.
Prerequisites
- PeaSoup S3 Access: Ensure you have the following details:
- Access key
- Secret key
- Bucket name
- PeaSoup S3 endpoint URL https://s3.eu-west-1.peasoup.cloud
- TerraMaster NAS with the Cloud Backup app installed and configured.
Steps to Connect PeaSoup S3 to TerraMaster Cloud Backup
- Log into TerraMaster NAS:
- Access the TerraMaster NAS web interface by entering the IP address of your NAS in a web browser.
- Log in with your admin credentials.
- Open the Cloud Backup App:
- Navigate to the Cloud Backup app from the TerraMaster dashboard.
- Create a New Cloud Backup Task:
- Click on Create New Task or Add Backup to start a new cloud backup task.
- Select S3-Compatible Storage as the backup destination type.
- Configure PeaSoup S3 as the Backup Destination:
- Service Provider: Select Custom S3-Compatible.
- Access Key: Enter your PeaSoup S3 access key.
- Secret Key: Enter your PeaSoup S3 secret key.
- Bucket Name: Enter the name of the PeaSoup S3 bucket where you want to store your backups.
- Endpoint: Enter the PeaSoup S3 endpoint https://s3.eu-west-1.peasoup.cloud
- Region: Specify the region if required by PeaSoup, or leave it blank if not necessary.
- Select Files/Folders to Back Up:
- Select the files or folders from your TerraMaster NAS that you want to back up to PeaSoup S3.
- Configure Backup Schedule:
- Set the backup schedule (e.g., daily, weekly, or real-time) based on your preferences.
- Configure any additional options like bandwidth control, encryption, or retention policies if required.
- Complete and Run the Backup Task:
- Click Apply or Save to complete the task configuration.
- You can choose to run the backup immediately or wait for the scheduled time.
- Monitor the task progress from the TerraMaster Cloud Backup interface to ensure data is being uploaded to PeaSoup S3 successfully.

- Ensure that PeaSoup S3 is accessible from your TerraMaster NAS. You may need to verify network settings, firewall rules, or permissions to allow the connection.
