Fair Use Policy

Applies to: All Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and associated hosted services provided by PeaSoup Hosting Limited.

1. Purpose

This Fair Use Policy (FUP) defines acceptable usage of PeaSoup’s IaaS and hosting services. Its goal is to ensure the integrity, performance, and availability of our services for all customers. Any use that negatively impacts our systems, our customers, or violates applicable law is prohibited.

2. Acceptable Use Standards

You must use the services in a lawful, responsible, and fair manner. You agree not to use PeaSoup services to:

– Send unsolicited or bulk messages (commonly known as spam);

– Publish, transmit, or store:

  •   Illegal, harmful, or offensive content;
  •   Defamatory, abusive, or obscene material;
  •   Copyright-infringing software or media (e.g. warez, cracked content);
  •   Child exploitation imagery or content;

– Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another organisation or individual;

  • Conduct or promote unauthorised access attempts, including:
  •   Port scanning,
  •   IP spoofing,
  •   Vulnerability assessments or penetration testing (without written approval);

– Launch or support denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed DoS attacks;

– Deploy scripts or applications that degrade system performance for other customers;

– Mine cryptocurrency or run persistent, high-load background tasks unless explicitly authorised;

– Upload or distribute malware, viruses, trojans, or corrupted data;

– Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights.

3. Resource Consumption

Services are subject to reasonable use thresholds. While PeaSoup does not impose hard limits under normal operations, we reserve the right to investigate and act upon:

– Abnormally high compute, storage, or network usage;

– Activity that risks platform stability or affects service to other customers;

– Use of trial or DR services as permanent live environments.

If excessive or unfair use is detected, we may contact you to adjust usage, recommend changes, or in serious cases, apply restrictions or suspend services.

4. Enforcement

If you breach this policy, PeaSoup may, without liability:

– Issue a written warning;

– Suspend or restrict your access to services;

– Remove offending content or processes;

– Notify law enforcement or regulatory authorities where required.

In the case of repeat or serious violations, we may terminate services in accordance with our Hosting Service Agreement.

6. Changes to this Policy

PeaSoup reserves the right to modify this policy. The latest version will always be made publicly available.
