How to Connect PeaSoup S3 to Panzura

Follow these steps to configure Panzura to store data on PeaSoup S3. Since PeaSoup uses an S3-compatible API, you can configure it similarly to Amazon S3 as a cloud storage target for data storage and archiving.

Prerequisites

  • PeaSoup S3 Access: Ensure you have the following details:
    • Access key
    • Secret key
    • Bucket name
    • PeaSoup S3 endpoint URL https://s3.eu-west-1.peasoup.cloud
  • Panzura CloudFS system installed and running, properly licensed for cloud integration.

Steps to Connect PeaSoup S3 to Panzura

  1. Log into Panzura Web Interface:
    • Access the Panzura CloudFS web interface by entering the Panzura management IP address in a web browser and log in using your administrator credentials.
  2. Add a New Cloud Storage Configuration:
    • Navigate to Configuration > Cloud Storage and click Add Cloud Storage to configure a new storage provider.
  3. Select S3-Compatible as the Cloud Storage Type:
    • Select S3-Compatible as the cloud storage type in the storage configuration menu.
  4. Configure PeaSoup S3 as the Cloud Storage Target:
    • Cloud Storage Name: Enter a name for this cloud storage target (e.g., “PeaSoup S3”).
    • Access Key: Enter your PeaSoup S3 access key.
    • Secret Key: Enter your PeaSoup S3 secret key.
    • Bucket Name: Enter the PeaSoup S3 bucket name where your data will be stored.
    • Endpoint: Enter the PeaSoup S3 endpoint https://s3.eu-west-1.peasoup.cloud
    • Region: If required by PeaSoup, specify the region, or leave it blank if not needed.
  5. Test the Cloud Storage Configuration:
    • Once you have entered the credentials and other required information, click Test Connection to ensure that Panzura can connect to PeaSoup S3.
  6. Apply and Save the Configuration:
    • After the connection is successfully tested, click Apply to save the configuration and activate PeaSoup S3 as the cloud storage target.
  7. Configure Data Policies:
    • Navigate to Policies > Data Management and configure the storage policies to use PeaSoup S3 for data archival, tiering, or backup.
  8. Monitor and Verify Data Transfers:
    • Once PeaSoup S3 is configured as a cloud storage target, monitor the data transfer and verify that data is being successfully stored on PeaSoup S3 as per the configured policies.

Notes

  • Ensure that PeaSoup S3 is reachable from your Panzura system. Verify network connectivity and firewall permissions to allow communication.
  • Panzura supports S3-compatible storage for cloud archiving and tiering, making PeaSoup a suitable option for cloud storage integration.
